The prevailing Mediterranean winds, the great richness of its seabed and a coastline which is open to the sea make Elche´s more than nine kilometres of beaches a particularly attractive location to enjoy water sports.

An extensive anchorage area just off the beach of Carabassí, an area of great ecological importance, which lies at the foot of the mountain which bears the same name, facilitates the practice of diving and underwater fishing.

Windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing, catamaran sailing and surfing, are all on offer and there are two water sports centres where it is possible to rent all the necessary equipment. In Arenales del Sol you will find the Life Beach Club, whilst in La Marina you will find the Estación Náutica La Marina water sports centre, both situated in strategic locations on the coastal strip where an essential element is always present: the wind.
